PhoneNews.com has just received word that Verizon is preparing to push an over the air update for owners of the Samsung Omnia that fully unlocks the GPS transceiver in the device for use with third-party applications such as Google Maps and other GPS applications. The update is set to be rolled out later this afternoon.
