Verizon Wireless today is offering a new firmware update as well as a new color of the V3c phone. Firmware 01.0F.03P has been issued to all Verizon Wireless stores, but users should be cautioned that it removes OBEX support from the device. Unlike the V710, Verizon stated that OBEX would not be included with the V3c, so this is a removal of a feature that Verizon did not intend (or advertise) to be in the device.
To update your phone, take it to your nearest Verizon Wireless store and request the update by version number.
In addition, Verizon today released a V3c in pink housing, similar to its GSM counterpart, the V3. The pink version of the V3c is $50 more at a full retail price of $349.99 and is exclusive to Verizon Wireless at this time.
