Motorola has leaked specifications for the long-rumored Global Edition of the Droid 2 meant for release on Verizon Wireless.
According to the now pulled page, the Droid 2 Global will feature a 1.2GHz processor with dual-mode CDMA/GSM radios for international roaming across Vodafone networks in Europe with triband HSPA access and quadband GSM access. The device is otherwise identical to the current Droid 2 with "improved touch screen technology" according to the manufacturer.
Specifications are otherwise the same with a 5.0 megapixel camera with dual LED flash and autofocus, Android 2.2, Flash 10.1, Wi-Fi N radio, GPS support and Bluetooth. The Droid 2 Global also supports Exchange email with a microSDHC slot.The device is expected to launch this quarter with no pricing or availability details available at this time.
