AT&T-LG Escape-2

AT&T’s website has quietly revealed a new LG Android smartphone in the Escape 2, the successor to its previously launched Escape mid-range model. The phone is said to feature Android 5.0 Lollipop with LG’s user interface and bundled apps/functionality, including Knock On, Knock Code, Quick Memo, and QSlide.

The phone is also said to include a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor with 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage and microSD expansion slot with LG’s rear-button array and slight bodyshell curve. Other specifications include a 4.7-inch 720p HD display, 1-megapixel front and 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, along with NFC support and a 2,100mAh removable battery. Pricing and availability information is not available at this time.

Update: AT&T has confirmed that the LG Escape 2 will cost $179.99 at full retail price, $9 monthly on Next 12,  $7.50 monthly on Next 18, $6 monthly on Next 24, or $0.99 on a new 2-year agreement. The phone is available now.

Update 2: The phone is also available exclusively in Walmart stores through Cricket Wireless in former Cricket CDMA coverage areas for $149.99. There is no listing on Walmart’s website for the phone at this time.
