AT&T has announced a new international calling plan for those customers wishing to call to and from Mexico without the typically high per minute charges due to international roaming and long distance.
The new AT&T Viva Mexico plans are notable for eliminating international long distance charges on wireless calls between the United States and Mexico, the use of Anytime and 1,000 Night and Weekend Minutes to use in the United States and Mexico as well as allowing the use of stored Rollover minutes at no additional charge.
Plans start at $54.99 monthly access for individual AT&T Nation plans and FamilyTalk plans for AT&T Viva Mexico start at $84.99 monthly access for two lines of service with international text, instant, picture and video messaging rates applying to messaging from the United States to Mexico.
International roaming rates apply when messages are sent from Mexico with the pay-per-use data rate in Mexico being set at $5 per megabyte.
Hope they bring back the North America Plan for Free roaming/calling into Canada…
Have been holding onto my 8 year old NAP plan and missing out on the Mobile to Mobile and rollover …
I can already call over a hundred countries at no extra charge using my Tracfone. Yep, that’s right: same rate as local calls! No pricey contract needed either. 😉 Mexico and Canada included.
