Motorola has announced the forthcoming launch of the Quantico rugged clamshell phone with tri-band CDMA/AWS support expected in the 4th quarter.
The phone features a rubber-coated bodyshell with textured patterns for improved grip and it can withstand a 30-minute dunk in up to three feet of water, extreme pressure, temperature, dust, shock, vibration and rain due to its M810F certification.
Secondary features include GPS support, Bluetooth 2.0 with stereo audio support, microSDHC expansion slot, media player, 2.5mm headset jack, high performance speakerphone and a 1.3 megapixel camera with video recorder.
Neither MetroPCS nor Cricket have announced the phone at this time, but it is compatibile with both carrier networks.
