Verizon employees have been confirming the forthcoming availability of the LG VX8575 Chocolate Touch for October 18th on the carrier with no confirmation on pricing.
The Verizon LG Chocolate Touch is not based off of the LG BL40 high-end device, but is an original design for Verizon Wireless which features a 3.0 inch WVGA resolution touch display, EVDO Rev. A, 3.2 megapixel camera with auto-focus and video recorder, 3.5mm headphone jack, HTML browser and 1GB of built-in memory with microSDHC expansion slot.
The phone will also come with FM radio and audio recognition through VCAST and will be running an updated version of the enV Touch BREW-based operating system.
The LG Chocolate Touch will be the second device on Verizon to be sold under the revised new data plan requirement for non smartphone devices with QWERTY keyboards, HTML browsers and EVDO Rev. A access, known as the Enhanced Multimedia device specification.
10/18/09 has come and past and this phone has not launched. Where do you get your info from? You need to update this news. Try and get the facts straight. Maybe the guy making $6 an hour at the front counter of verizon isn’t your best resource.
Yea what he said. When is this phone coming out. I heard first week of Nov. and I also heard no data plan.
