Verizon has just issued a new firmware for their LG VX8000 EV-DO Handset. Version T80VZV05 disables support for the device to be used as a modem, as well as delivers several major software fixes. In some of the technician notes on the update, it is mentioned that DUN (Dial-Up Networking) support can be re-enabled, but users are reporting those steps do not work.
