Verizon has issued an update for their V CAST Mobile TV Player. The update improves the performance of TV playback. Verizon has not issued a change list for what exactly was improved in the update.
The update will not automatically detect itself. You need to go to Options inside the application and chose the option to check for upgrades.
Verizon has struggled to gain traction with their MediaFLO-based mobile TV service. Subscriber rates have been reported to be significantly below that of their IP-based competitors, MobiTV and Sprint TV. AT&T plans to launch their version of MediaFLO later this year.
