Verizon late last month quietly updated the LG enV (VX9900). Firmware version 04 fixes various bugs with the device.
Despite being leapfroged by the LG Voyager, the enV remains in Verizon’s current lineup as a more-affordable messaging phone. The phone is available for as little as $9.99 after rebate.
To get the update, take the enV to your local Verizon Wireless store. We suggest you call the store first to confirm that they have the update available at your location.
Firmware Tracker Updated…
Any detail available on what was improved in this firmware revision? There are some functions I had with an earlier LG that I really want back. For esamples: 1) the software in my enV (T99VZG02) offers no snooze at all for calendar reminders – I need those to be easily snoozable; and 2) wWhen the alarm goes off and offers me a snooze or dismiss option, it doesn’t display the current time to help me make that decision. Are those features improved in the new version?
No change list has been posted as far as we can tell… but Verizon does suggest all enV owners update. It can’t hurt, and it probably will fix at least some of your issues.
Does anyone know how to turn off the email receive alert? This is a little troublesome but my wife would love to have this feature disabled if possible.
