Verizon Wireless internal documentation has confirmed that the long-awaited Adnroid 2.2 update for the Motorola Droid X will be staged for the device beginning at Noon EST tomorrow, September 22nd. Instead of the usual waves of OTA updates, Verizon will be staging the update on its servers, with customers being able to pull the update by going to Settings > About Phone > System Updates.
In related news, Verizon has also updated the support page for the Droid X with the changelog for the update which features Adobe Flash 10.1 support along with the long-awaited fix for Exchange email accounts as well as other fixes and improvements.
Update: According to multiple reports, the update is now available for manual download directly from Verizon, ahead of its scheduled availability
