Verizon has released its preliminary specifications for developers and manufacturers looking to provide devices for its forthcoming LTE network launch next winter.
The documentation currently lays out network access and SMS compatibility requirements as well as details on the open development device approval and introduction process. Verizon will host a developer webcast in January to finalize and elaborate further on the LTE network and specifications.
