Verizon has now decided to follow AT&T and most recently Sprint in doubling data on its More Everything shared plans. The changes go into effect tomorrow October 2nd and will last until the end of the month. Starting with the current 12GB plan, the plans are now as follows until the end of the month:
Talk & Text | Data (GB) | Account Access |
Unlimited | 1?2? 15 | $110 |
Unlimited | 1?6? 30 | $130 |
Unlimited | 2?0? 40 | $150 |
Unlimited | 3?0? 60 | $225 |
Unlimited | 4?0? 80 | $300 |
Unlimited | 5?0? 100 | $375 |
The plans double at the 20GB level all the way up to the 50GB level. Verizon has also confirmed to PhoneNews.com that existing customers will be able to take advantage of the promotion by contacting the company for the increased data rates and also confirming that the doubled data rates will remain for the life of the account, with exceptions made for plan changes, which will cause customers to lose the doubled data rates. All of the above will also apply for select Business plans.
