The first details on the replacement for the VX5400 clamshell have surfaced thanks to a leaked employee information slide.

The VX5500 is intended as a cosmetic update to the venerable VX5400, but is otherwise identical in specifications with an external display, large internal display, Bluetooth, GPS support through VZNavigator, VGA camera with video recorder, speakerphone and support for FOTA updates.
The phone is expected to be launched later this month for $219.99 Month to Month/Retail, $119.99 on inPulse prepaid before $50 mail-in rebate, $199.99 after 1 year and $99.99 after 2 year agreements before additional $50 mail in rebates, bringing the total to $69.99, $149.99, and $49.99 respectively.Â
I think you might have some of the specs mixed up with the forthcoming 8360. The 5500 doesn’t have VCast anything nor does it have a memory card slot or video capture….at least not according to the spec sheet you posted.
Duly noted and appreciate the catch.
