Verizon has announced the launch of the latest update to its venerable VZNavigator GPS application in VZNavigator 5.0.
VZNavigator 5.0 adds support for Verizon’s newest devices while improving the user experience, staring with streaming real-time map data retrieval, improved point of interest data with detailed descriptions and icons, anonymous traffic data crowd soucing via opt-in data collection, alerts for tunnels, U-turns, traffic circles and toll plazas as well as voice control on select Windows Mobile and BlackBerry models.
VZNavigator 5.0 is now available for the LG enV TOUCH, HTC Touch Pro2 and Samsung Omnia, with wider availability in the next few weeks. Pricing is set at $9.99/month for unlimited access or $2.99/day on certain devices.
