Starting today, new and existing Verizon Wireless customers can choose from new plans that allow true unlimited nationwide calling for individuals and families.
The new Nationwide Unlimited plans start at $99.99 and are designed for those customers that do not want the hassle of counting minutes monthly or want to make it easier to manage multiple lines across a family plan. Data is charged at $1.99 per MB on the Basic and Select plans unless the Premium Plan is chosen which includes unlimited data access and unlimited messaging.
Verizon also announced plans for their smart device lineup which include unlimited voice and email only, or a combination of voice, email, unlimited messaging, and unlimited data for national or international access as well as a 50 MB or 5GB monthly option which is set to launch March 2nd.
Update: Consumer devices (non-smartphones) can add V CAST unlimited data for $15/month, to unlimited basic plans, without the need to add premium plans or messaging bundles.
