Verizon has launched two new midrange clamshells in the LG Revere and Samsung Convoy 2.
The Convoy 2 features push to talk, an M810F certified bodyshell for resistance to shock, low pressure (altitude), low and high temperature, temperature shock, solar radiation, salt fog, humidity, vibration, sand and dust. Other features include Bluetooth, 3.2 megapixel camera with video recorder, speakerphone with stereo speakers, external media player controls and copy and paste support for text entry. The LG Reverie features  a 1.3 megapixel camera, Bluetooth, voice commands, GPS support via VZNavigator, speakerphone and apps for social networking.
Pricing for the LG Reverie is set at free after new 2 year agreement as part of an online promotion while retail pricing is set at $49.99 and will be launched through retail channels on August 18th while the Samsung Convoy 2 is priced at $129.99 after new 2 year agreement before an additional $50 mail in rebate, bringing the total to $79.99.
