In an effort to bolster its phone lineup outside of flagships, Verizon has launched two new entry-level devices in the LG Zone 2 and Extravert 2 featurephone.
The Zone 2 features Android 4.4.2 KitKat, a 3.5-inch display at 480 x 320 pixels, a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 3.0 megapixel camera without a flash, 1,700mAh battery, Wi-Fi, GPS, and Bluetooth 4.0. Select LG’s software and apps are also built in, such as QuickMemo and Guest Mode. The Zone 2 will be sold for $199.99 at retail price or $49.99 with a new 2 year agreement.
The Extravert 2 is an entry-level BREW MP powered feature phone that features both a capacitive 3.2-inch touch display at 400×240 and a horizontally sliding QWERTY keyboard along with LG’s own touch-based user interface for feature phones. Other features include a 2.0 megapixel camera with video capture, Bluetooth 3.0, media apps, Verizon apps, and the Opera Mini web browser. The Extravert 2 will be sold for $199.99 at retail price, $79.99 after a new 2 year agreement, or $8.33 monthly on Verizon Edge.
