As a follow-up to Sprint’s decision to burn customers and not release the fully compatible Windows Mobile 2003 Upgrade for the Hitachi G1000, Verizon has decided to come through for its customers.
Verizon has issued to its store computers (though not yet available to customers) a free Windows Mobile 2003 upgrade for the Samsung i700. The Samsung i700 and Hitachi G1000 are actually based on almost identical phone and PDA hardware internally, despite their different external designs.
Verizon delivering where Sprint falls through? Hmm…
