Following up on previous reports, Verizon Wireless has officially announced the forthcoming launch of the LG VS750 Fathom Windows Mobile Classic smart device, which is also the first Windows Phone Classic device from LG developed for Verizon.
The Fathom features a 1GHz processor along with Windows Phone Classic 6.5.3 and previously confirmed specifications in global roaming with an included SIM card, EVDO Rev A support, quadband GSM/EDGE and single-band HSDPA support for international 3G roaming.
Hardware features include a 3.2 inch WVGA resolution resistive touchscreen display, horizontal sliding QWERTY keyboard, Wi-Fi radio, 3.2 megapixel camera with VGA video recording, Bluetooth with stereo audio support, 3.5mm headphone jack, 512MB of onboard ROM and 256MB of RAM.
The device will also support microSDHC cards up to 16GB in size, while the retail package will include a stylus, USB cable and wall charger with international plug adapters for Europe, Asia, and Australia.
Pricing for the device is set at $249.99 after new 2 year agreement before an additional $100 mail-in rebate, bringing the total to $149.99. Launch dates are set at May 27th for business sales and June 3rd across all consumer sales channels.
