Verizon’s Allset prepaid data plan has gotten a slight increase in monthly data since first launching last Summer. Where the plan began at 500MB of monthly data and added an additional 500MB when enrolling the account in automatic payments, the data allotment has now been increased to 1GB without the requirement, with the auto-pay bonus still available. The monthly add-on data packages are still available and consist of the following:
- 500MB for $5 – 30 day expiration
- 1GB for $10 – 90 day expiration
- 3GB for $20 – 90 day expiration
The $45 plan also includes unlimited voice and messaging with Mexico and Canada messaging included; customers can also add unlimited calling to Canada and Mexico for $10 a month.
These plans are still absolutely terrible versus Page Plus LTE plans.
It’s pretty clear that Verizon is targeting uninformed customers that do not shop around for pricing, even among Verizon’s own network offerings. There isn’t one price point that this is competitive on.
For comparison, the Page Plus $39.99 plan gives you unlimited talk, text, and 1GB of 4G LTE data.
