T-Mobile has announced a new promotion squarely targeted at Verizon customers designed to lure them away to the UnCarrier in the “Never Settle” trial period.
The program will let Verizon customers test T-Mobile’s service for two weeks with no commitment required, but the trial requires Verizon customers to port their number to T-Mobile and they will hold onto their old Verizon phone for the length of the trial. Otherwise, the customer returns the selected T-Mobile phone and T-Mobile will refund the service costs incurred by the customer during the trial.
If after the two-week period, they decide to stay with T-Mobile, T-Mobile will then pay off the customer’s early termination fees and/or remaining phone payments, whichever is held by the customer. The Verizon customer will then have to turn in their Verizon phone, buy a new phone or keep the initial phone from T-Mobile used during the trial, and pair it with a Simple Choice plan to fully qualify for the promotion. Verizon customers can sign up for the Never Settle Trial starting next week on May 13 through May 31.
