T-Mobile has officially announced the HTC manufactured G2 as the first HSPA+ compatible smart device that will be launched on the carrier sometime next month according to previous information. In a humorous bit, T-Mobile has also decided to proclaim that its HSPA+ network overlay provides 4G speeds based on transfer speed, despite not being based on a fourth generation network platform. The phone will be offered first to current customers in a special promotion upon launch as well according to a tweet from its official Twitter account.
