Verizon has announced the launch of Skype Mobile to select 3G Multimedia phones in the carrier’s lineup. The LG enV Touch, LG Chocolate Touch and Samsung Reality are now compatible with the application, marking Skype’s successful transition to the BREW MP platform. The application is available in the Media Center/Get it Now portal.
All of the major functionality found on the Android and BlackBerry versions in chat/IM/Skype to Skype is supported, with international calling supported via Skype Credit. As with the Android and BlackBerry versions, a data plan is required in order to use Skype Mobile.
