An update has been released for the PPC-6600/XV6600 Series that adds Windows Media Player 10 support. This update was not released by Audiovox.
Windows Media Player 10 adds several improvements and integrations, the most notable being support for Windows Media Center 2005 as a Personal Video Player. Microsoft has refused to release a Windows Media Player 10 update, saying that it it up to device manufacturers to update their WM 2003SE PDAs with a new ROM that includes it. Audiovox has not stated if they will update the series to support Windows Media Player 10, nor have they replied to direct requests from SPI on the matter.
Warning: This update has not been tested or approved by Audiovox or Sprint. While it is possible to revert to the official ROM, your warranty will be voided if something goes wrong and you are not able to revert to the official ROM. We only suggest this for very experienced users who know how to flash their devices and really want Windows Media Player 10.
