Sprint expects this device to be a mid-range EV-DO device, in-between the likes of the A920 and A940, and should be available around the launch of EV-DO as an initial/near-launch device. So, it’s up to the savvy consumer to decide, is the Sanyo 9000 a necessary evolution of the Sanyo 5000 series, or, will it be minor enough to begin to get derogatory names such as Sanyo 5601?
