Sprint has issued PRL 20225 for EV-DO enabled devices. It is not clear at this time what the update provides in terms of improvements or changes. To update your phone, call data support to have your line flagged for update.
Update: Many users have reported that this update enables data roaming, on Verizon Wireless and Alltel. Users with devices that support data roaming report acheving 1xRTT and EV-DO data sessions at full speed.
However, most Sprint devices have firmware blocks that prevent data roaming. Sprint may only update select devices, or they may require users to purchase new devices to gain data roaming.
