Not long after Verizon confirmed release details for its version of the MiFi, Sprint is set to launch its own version of the mobile router in June.
Like the Verizon version, the device features a Wi-Fi radio, EVDO Rev A. modem and allows for up to five simultaneous users with up to 4 hours of battery life and 40 hours of standby time.
The Sprint version also features Hands-Free Activation, additional security through WPA2-PSK, WEP, SPI Firewall support and GPS capabilities to take advantage of select location and mapping applications via Sprint SmartView.
Service plans available for the MiFi center on Mobile Broadband access for $59.99/month for 5GB of monthly access, or $149.99/month as a part of the Simply Everything+Mobile Broadband plan.
Cost for the device will also be identical to the Verizon version at $149.99 after new 2 year agreement before an additional $50 mail-in rebate, bringing the total to $99.99.
Are they finally going to let the family plans get that price?

Hey DJ spin what? Even though sprint has lost customers and money they are still 3rd in the business. They are also looking good in the last month or 2. You would think people would want sprint to do good. The more companies that are in business the better prices will be for consumers. Verizon has already raised some of their prices. But i guess none of us have been hit by the economy and are made of money.
