Sprint and Sierra Wireless have announced the Sierra Wireless 595U USB
Modem and Docking Station. This modem is the second USB modem to
support EVDO Rev. A and GPS services using the updated Sprint
Connection Manager software. The modem also includes a docking station
and internal battery power is supported, as well as being supported on
Windows and Macintosh platforms, though no specific versions were named
for either. The modem is expected to launch next month at a price point
of $49.99 after a $50 mail in rebate on a new two year agreement.
