As expected, Sprint has announced the Samsung Upstage, also known as
the m620. The phone features a 1.3 megapixel camera, microSD
expansion slot with support for 2GB cards, Sprint TV, Bluetooth with
stereo support (A2DP), Background Music mode (minimize music player and
text, surf web, etc), and touch sensitive controls for the music player
side.
The phone will launch with a 3.5mm (1/4″) adapter to use standard
headphones, Sprint Music Manager software, and a USB cable to manage
unprotected music and to simplify loading music onto the phone. As
reported here,
the phone has a retail price of $299, with an instant rebate bringing
the total cost down to $149 with a new two year agreement. The phone
will launch in early April.
