Sanyo and Nokia have agreed to merge CDMA operations, and will create a new company co-owned and dedicated to CDMA handset development. The merger of assets will be conducted through the second quarter of this year, with branding and other concerns yet to be determined. Sanyo and Nokia expect the new company to begin operating in the third quarter of this year.
