Samsung has announced the forthcoming launch of its first Android-based device in the SGH-I7500, which will usher in Samsung’s entry into the open-source platform as well as make it the second company behind HTC to manufacture and design Android devices.
The device features a 3.2 inch, 320×480 AMOLED widescreen touch display, quadband GSM/EDGE with quadband HSDPA support,including UMTS 1700 access for T-Mobile’s 3G network, a 5.0 megapixel camera with flash, autofocus, and video recorder, 8GB of internal memory with an additional microSDHC expansion slot, Wi-Fi radio, and GPS transceiver along with A-GPS support.
Official pricing is not available, but the phone is expected to launch across Europe this June.
