FCC Approves Samsung i7500 Android Smartphone

The FCC has formally approved the Samsung i7500 smartphone powered by Android.

The version approved is the same announced in April with a 3.2 inch 320×480 AMOLED widescreen touch display, quadband GSM/EDGE with quadband HSDPA support, including UMTS 1700 access for T-Mobile’s 3G network.

The rest of the featureset consists of a 5.0 megapixel camera with flash, autofocus, and video recorder, 8GB of internal memory with an additional microSDHC expansion slot, Wi-Fi radio, and GPS transceiver along with A-GPS support.

Neither Samsung nor T-Mobile have officially announced the device for the US at this time.
