Leaked internal Verizon documents confirm that the Samsung Alias 2 will launch on the carrier in all sales channels on May 11th.
The updated Alias will be the first US carrier-branded device with an e-ink based keypad, which allows for instantaneous transitions between the standard 12 key dialing pad and a horizontal QWERTY keyboard depending on the orientation of the dual-hinge display.
The rest of the featureset includes a 2.6 inch QVGA resolution display, 2.0 megapixel camera with video recorder and night shot support, full VCAST Music/Video support with external touch sensitive controls, Visual Vocemail support, full messaging, microSDHC expansion slot, Bluetooth with stereo audio support, GPS support, and speakerphone.
Pricing is set at $249.99 Month-to-Month, $199.99 after new 1 year agreement, or $129.99 after new 2 year agreement before an additional $50 mail-in rebate, bringing the totals to $149.99 and $79.99 respectively.
