Reports are swirling this morning that the Nexus One from Google will be offered for $199.99 with new 2 year agreement from Verizon, with the unsubsidized $529.99 pricing also inline with Verizon’s own unsubsidized smartphone pricing.
The biggest news however, is a new rumor stating that the Verizon version will feature something that the previous GSM and T-Mobile compatible models do not, with the most logical conclusion being the addition of HTC’s Sense user interface. This is buoyed by internal Verizon employee documentation initially confirming the addition, then being retracted soon after the leak was made public.
The addition of the Sense user interface on the CDMA version also explains the launch delay of that version from its original target date of March 23rd and would give the CDMA version an advantage over the GSM versions.
Why didnt you buy it instead of taking a screenshot!!!
This is a fake screen shot.
I have been watching the N1 page daily for info on a Sprint N1. I have no interest in purchasing a Verizon version, I’m a Sprint guy through and through.. But, I can assure you, the screen shot above was REAL. I saw it. It wasn’t up long. The reason I remember it so distinctly is that I scrutinized the price trying to get some insight into what the Sprint price might be. I was surprised that is was $199 compared to T-Mobil’s $179., that’s why I remember the price. I have no connection with this sight, the original posters, T-Mobile, Verizon, Google, or anyone else involved in this saga. Just attempting to let all know that it did indeed, although only for a short time, exist.
Cheers!
