I think this phone is going to be at the same level or even better than the nexxus because of htc sense and of course because it is being released on sprint which offers the best data plans on the market.

You all don’t know how much I want this phone. I am still using an HTC Touch….no not the Touch Pro or 2, but the HTC TOUCH dinosaur!

  4. ROBERT

do you know that when that phone came out everyone dubbed it the “iphone killer” …ahh talking about blast from the past!!!

    yes really bad phone though!

    so many issues!!

    @ Robert

Yes I remember that! lol Actually it’s a replacement for my Mogul that died in October of last year. Still, the Supersonic can’t arrive soon enough.

An April release date would be too much to ask I suppose? June is probably more likely.

Its time for Sprint to eat Verizon’s and AT&T’s lunch!!!

Any idea if this will be an international phone?

  9. JJ

Thats a good question. This might not be world phone because it is android and I heard android still has some kinks to work out when it comes to having a dual mode phone but then again they are advancing pretty quick. The nexxus one might be international when it comes to sprint.

International roaming (GSM in CDMA phones) is a target for Android 3.0. However, that said, I wouldn’t expect it. Sprint needs to cut costs wherever possible on the device, while maintaining superiority in the US.

I would expect CDMA and WiMAX dual-mode only. The real question will be if Sprint 4G is included in the notion of an “Everything Plan.”

If this phone had a keyboard I might be interested. Probably not though, since there is no WiMax anywhere near me and not even rumored to be rolled out anywhere near me anytime soon either.

HTC is leaving the keyboard off of more and more devices these days. that trend is troubling to me. They had such a good thing with the Touch Pro 2. Hopefully one of these Android phones can be a successor to the Touch Pro 2 in the near future.

i highly doubt this will be a tri-mode device, or that we’ll even see a tri-mode device for some time. However, that aside, the Supersonic is sounding incredible so far
