The three companies have schedueled a press event at 9 AM, which we hope to cover (either live or shortly thereafter). The product to be announced is the Treo 700w, a product we have previously covered.
Verizon’s bolstering at this announcement has left some to speculate that there will not be a Sprint version (and possibly no GSM versions either) of the 700w. However, some sources are reporting that Sprint is considering carrying the device, that they simply will not be the launcher of the device. Sprint is generally considered the primary carrier for Palm Treo devices, it has many times beat out all other devices in terms of sales in Sprint’s lineup.
