Software Everywhere reports that Palm, Inc is planning its own Linux operating system for its devices. As we have previously reported, PalmSource has been completing their own Linux based OS with their parent company, Access, to replace the Palm OS, called ALP.
Analysts that released this information say that Palm will not compete with ALP, but that the company will instead develop the OS to use as a backup plan, most likely in case ALP becomes unpopular or a failure in the marketplace.
