A one-click rooting app for the HTC Droid Eris has been released. Unlike other rooting methods, the device data will remain intact with the addition of a rooted operating system. The application does feature a donation requirement, but instead of requesting donations for the development of the application, the application requests that donations be made towards the homeless youth or an outreach program.
