    Yes. I dont like sprint Im about to change phone companys. My rumor never charges and it constanly runs low on battery after one hour even if I charge it over night. My brother has the same phone and the same problem I constanly buy knew charges but it only last for a few weeks so Im going with T-MOBILE its cheaper and better

    okay i got the rumor phone in may of 2008. and i had to get a replacement phone.. because it wouldnt turn on, & the only time it would come on… the screen would be white… the whole time. and i could do anything with it.. then they said its because i connection inside broke… because i was sliding it to much. but isnt that what the phone is for?? i mean.. ughh! and then now, every like 30 min. it would just shut off. even when it has a full chargee.. :/ idk whats wrong with it.. i heard there is a lot of crap happpening to rumors.. but my lord.. my friend had the same problem. sprint didnt give us a contract either.. sooo ill have to pay for a upgraded phone. i want a GOOD phone… and the rumor has been my first and only phone before..

    My phone is just about to die on me my screen freezes and sometimes it goes completely white. I thought it was just my phone but my cousin got one and had to return it like a week later because she was having the some problems. another problem i was having was that i would send a text and people wouldnt get them till the day after.

    ok soo i got the rumor in august and my buttons are turning black and the bottom of the phone is scraping the keyboard eveytime i open it. Honestly its horrible my phone looks like its been through hell and back and ive only had it a little over 6 months.

    i got a green rumor last june for my birthday and i absolutly loved it… Until a few days ago when i was texting my sister the screen got all scrunnched up and then it flashes white and now i cant use it at all because i cant see anythin

    It is January 2009 = My Rumor Screen went out in July 2008. Sprint would not replace it at that time, so I sent into LG. They would not replace it They told ME that I “dropped” the phone that caused the damage. The screen went out when I “took a picture”!

    I called, went to Sprint stores, wrote letters to consumer reports, LG and Sprint and finally gave up. I went back to my old faithful Samsung phone that still worked. In October I was online and I sent an email as my last attempt to correct this probelm. I sent a simple email to Sprint advising them that if they did not replace this defective phone, when my contract expires – after being a 11 year customer of sprint I would never do business with them again.

    I just received a new Rumor Phone from Sprint. I am not sure how well this one will work because the other Rumor phones my family members have still have problems but their screens still work so they can see who is calling etc… and dial numbers… So Sprint finally had someone read my message and contact me to listen to my complaint. 6 months later.

    Overall this is still very sad – to expend so much time and energy (negative engery) on electronics that simply do not work – the electronics world is growing rapidly but the companies pushing forward with all the technology are not slowing down to fix their problems and they all need a big lesson on “being accountable” for their actions and products.

    ok i got my phone around March of 08. it started doing all the same things, turning on and off, sending incomplete texts, and saying I needed a port or something like that when i tried to access some websites. The most annoying issue was how creative i had to be to get the stupid thing to charge.

    In august it finally stopped charging no matter how I rigged it up. At this point I started using one of my old phones and contacted LG. They said to send the phone in to see if my warranty covered the issue. Of course when they got back to me in their own sweet time they said the damage was my fault. I tried mentioning all the others problems i had experienced but it was no use. I opted to have my phone returned to me so i could just file it on insurance with sprint.

    From about Aug till Nov I had been fighting with LG and then waiting for them to return my broken phone. I got it back in December and then contacted sprint about replacing my phone. At this time not only did they neglect to mention that there had been a recall and countless complaints on this phone, they informed me that since it had been over 90 days since my rumor was last activated my insurance would not cover it. Not only had i been paying for services that I couldn’t use on the, older than dirt, back up phone, but I had also been wasting money by paying for insurance.

    Now here I am reading that sprint and LG both new about the problems and did nothing. So apparently my phone should be replaced for free, right? Where do I sign up? I don’t even mind paying the $50 dollars to replace my phone but I wont give LG money ever again and Sprints replacement company pretty much said screw you. How can I get them to work with me? I’ve never had this type of problem with them.

    The lg rumor..iv had my phone since nov and just recently the screen has been turning white and shutting on and off on me..everytime i go to txt or call it shuts off and the screen is white. Sometimes the color is blurred and the words are backwards and upside down. I have maybe dropped it once but all my other phones have lasted…The internet too will not shut off..I am very unhappy with this phone and i am thinking of returning it..Do u think there is anyway you can get a differnt kind of phone without paying fulll price..I DO NOT SUGGUST THIS PHONE..DOES NOT LAST LONG

    Yeah I got the rumor last may for mothers day. I am on my third phone since then. Got my last replacement phone less then 60 days ago and it stopped charging on me friday night. I took it to sprint yesterday they replaced the battery and told me it was ok. I went to charge it last night and no can do. I took it back today and they want me to buy a new phone. I waiting out side the store to talk to different customers walking out with their problemed rumors and we all seem to be having the same issue. The manager told me I would have to pay for a new phone until LG decided there was a deffect. Told me I broke up my phone by taking poor care of it. MY phone looks like a brand new phone. I just took the clear stickers off of it a few weeks ago. I want to say screw sprint and go with a different company but I find that sprint has the best plan that works for me.
    I am off to call cust service to see what they can do for me since I have been a cust for 10 years. If not i will have to pay the 200 fee to break my contract

    OMG i luv my rumour but i hav to agree they are shit phones i havnt had ne of the problems u guys hav been having tho. im with bell mobility in canada and i was in class and my frnd texted me and i went to anser it and the whole screens was messed up and looked like whn u push on the computer screen. it was retarted! and thn we went to bell and the scammers said that i stood on it with a stiletto heal. F*** i wear sk8r shoes not high heals and i didnt do nething and i had to talk my dad into payin 300$ for a new phone. I hate the crapy rumour but i hav to say i need it to text im shit at textin and if it happens again i will honestly go to bell and spazz!

    For those of you who want accessories and pink covers to make your phone PINK, LOL, and other cool stuff for the Rumor, then go to Ebay in the search window type in LG Rumor and you’ll be amazed what you can get for the rumor. I for one got mine for free. I use to be the proud owner of the LG150 until they recalled it Jan 27, 09. Virgin Mobile sent me an LG Rumor Black with $30 airtime credit. I live in Canada, so I’m hoping, that me not being with Sprint, not dropping it, and being in Canada will make a difference with the quality of my LGrumor and life expectancy. So far, no complaints. Virgin Loves Me 🙂

    actually yeah virgin mobile is awsome but my frends are wit thm and are starting to have the same problem wit the Rumour shutting off and mine actually coinsidently jst started shutting of to. it doesnt matter wat company ur wit tall rumours come from the same provider and its a fault in the phone so u cnt stop it from happening, but mayb since virgin mobile is a good company they will actually do something about it for u, bell wont even let u get a new phone wit out paying for it i was talking to thm this morning

    So I went through 5 of the rumors in 6 months all with the same stupid problems. I apparently complained enough to the sprint support team. They honored my 150 upgrade discount that I wasnt even eligible for until next may because of all the problems I had. Thank good ness for complaining for once in my life it got me somewhere. Now I have the blackberry curve and am very happy with it. Dont ever let a sales person convince you into a phone you didnt go in for to begin with it, it ends badly…. hence my problems with the rumor. I wanted a pearl and came out with the biggest piece of junk i have ever had…. the good news its a pretty green even though it doesn work right. I love my black berry and tell everyone to stay away from the rumor…. i wish everyone who already has one luck you are gonna need it.

    I own an LG Rumor (Virgin Mobile).

    Internal memory is full. However, I can’t delete any files from the phone, as it reports there is not any, anywhere. I noticed this started happening after a few months of owning an LG Rumor. I’ve discovered how it happens : If you set a video, or picture as screensaver ; each time you set a new one, the old one does not delete itself. Instead, it stays inside a hidden folder which is inaccessible from the phone. Now, my LG Rumor is at 2kb/16384kb. Because of this, I can no longer recieve text messages or use the integrated browser. The error message is as follows :

    “Memory full. Delete some files from in Phone or My Content.”
    There is nothing there. Lmao .. excellent piece of software for this thing. Great job virgin.

    Any suggestions or help is appreciated.

    Wow. I have read all of the previous complaints and I believe I am at least a little worse off than most of you, if that makes you feel any better…I have FIVE of these phones!
    My youngest daughter had the whole white screen issue a few months back and Sprint replaced her phone in store for a new one, assuring me that this was a problem they were indeed familiar with. That being said, I feel it’s important to note that I DO have the insurance on all five of my lines for crap like this.I figure with 3 kids, I’m always better off covering all my bases.
    So a few weeks ago,my oldest daughter and I both began having issues with our phones not charging. With 5 chargers in the house, we thought it might be a short in the wiring of one or two of them and so began the game of musical chargers. What a nightmare! Try having three teenagers who are constantly in search of the only working charger in the house! My daughter discovered that if she wrapped the cord around her phone just so, rubbed the top of her head counter-clockwise and the wind was blowing in the right direction, it MIGHT work about 25% of the time. Sensing the impending doom, I hid my charger from everyone!
    I mean, if mine was gonna get broken, it was going to be by me! All along I had confidence that maybe they were just bending the wire awkwardly since they plug them in next to their beds. Imagine my surprise when my charger crapped out despite my taking rediculous precaution to be careful with it, as well as my phone, in the charging process. Long story short, my oldest daughter and I ended up having to take our phones back to the sprint service center. They had to order us refurbished phones. Although I was not charged to replace either of the phones, I’m assuming it was covered by our repair insurance, Idk. So now we have had the replacement phones for a few weeks and here we go again with the charging issues!
    I’m hesitant to even mention that I have had to call and have my bill adjusted every month for a year because I keep getting charged for internet usage that we are not accessing and apparently it is somehow getting confused with picture mail, of which my plan includes an unlimited amount. Sprint wants to keep telling me I’m using the internet and I keep telling them I’m not! I even had internet blocked on all our phones and then our picture mail didn’t work! Hour ,after hour, after hour on the phone trying to resolve this with their incompetent customer service reps. There’s noting like explaining the whole situation over again every month dispite having asked each rep to document the issue to make the next months call less stressful. Finally after several months it seemed I had found someone who might actually have a clue of what they were doing when he explained someone had put the wrong code in at activation and he assured me he would fix the problem. Although I continued to receive charges for casual data usage, they were usually only around 2 dollars so it wasn’t worth my time and aggravation to have that adjusted. Here is the best part, now that I have had to have 4 of the five Rumors replaced for one reason or another, apparently having to have the replacement phones activated has somehow affected my account in that I have to spend more hours on the phone with sprint to have the internet blocked without interfering with all of our picture mail and yada yada yada. You see where this is going…What a nightmare! I agree with the person above who suggested we all just contact the BBB. I’ve just had it with everything about Sprint AND LG.

    Hey Jennifer I’m right with you on this. The hours spent on the phone trying to explain over and over again the problem let alone trying to communicate with people who do not understand or speak fluent English. I’ve gotten to the point that if I don’t get an English speaking person I hang up and keep calling until I do. But back to the issue with LG and Sprint. We’re on our 3rd phone and second charger (bought a generic not LG). I had my internet blocked, then a few months later I get an e-mail saying that my request for change of service to my plan has been completed and the internet was unblocked. How can this be? Do thsse people running these companys not have a clue as to what is going on? Now Sprint has these perks for loyal customers (Sprint Premier) upgrade phone within 1 year but you have to renew with another 2 yr and 1 time discount for accessories. If they would just be a reputable company and give good customer service and stand behind the products they sell they wouldn’t need all this fluff. I wanted to leave a review on the Sprint Rumor product page with all the other lovely ones but there is not a place to do this. So how did the others share their nice reviews ??????????? Hmmmmmmmmmmmm

    I also agree that the phone is a piece of crap. I am having a different problem with my Rumor, I can get picture message, text messages from sprint customer and the sprint website, but if someone on another provider tries to text me I do not get the message unless they send it as a picture message. Have called and chat with sprint about 6 or 7 times about this and every time they send a test text which of course I get being that it is coming from Sprint, and then today they went as far as saying that if I got their text that I should get all text mess sent to me which surprise, surprise is not happening. Had a friend with verizon try to text me and no mess received. The phone is not even 2 months old and this has been going on since I got the phone. I can afford to pay the termination fee and got the rumor as an upgrade so have a long time left in my contract.

    My phone when i went to turn it on fibrated like it was going to power down, so it seemed normal, but then it did it 4 more times and shut off. i cant get it to turn on and i dont know if sprint will fix it or replace it.     I bought my daughter this phone for christmas this past year and we are on the 7th phone in 2 weeks the screen goes white on some and the others just wont start up ughh i am so not happy with this dang phone. And srpint will not send me a diffrent model they keep sending the same one and they will not go past the start up screen any ideas

    uhhh this phone sucks i have had 4 rumors cu zthey have benn all messed up NEVER BUY THIS PHONE!! ughh i am in the middle of a call or a message and it will shut off! i had to retype a messe 10 differnt times so it would send!!! i m soo mad and to get a new phone u have to pay full retail pricee!! gayyy!1 something to hep it though is you goto menu, settings, more, data ,then udate firmwaree!! hope it helpss!!! ps one time this person called me 4 times and i got it the 5th timee!! soo dont even think about wasting ur money on this phonee!!!

    basically iM 16 have this phone in white.. i thought it was great after 2 months till it decided not to want to charge i was omg seriously? AND I LOVE THIS PHONE!! so i had to get a new charger.. great that problem fixed.. then about 2 months later which keeping in mind i’d only had it for 4 months i dropped it on tile floor and i picked it up and the whole screen was white and all messed up.so ofcourse i went to sprint and they guy was makin me so mad!!! he was like ” no cant do that, cant replace the phone, need insurance!!!” and im like wth!? i was not about to NOT have a phone!!! cuz i had no insurance and i wanted that phone shooot i payed 100 dollars for it. so i called sprint customer care nd dey was like im sorry cant do anything BUT theres this one little thing sprint DOSENT want you to know about because they want yu to buy a new phone; its called A WARRANTY. it comes on all lg phones automatically.so this one sprint customer care lady finally told me about it ; she was really nice 🙂 well adding on i was soooo mad lol that i finally got connected to LG and lg is REQUIRED to fix the phone if you have had it for under a year; and there is no water damage ; they will fix it ; even if you have no insurance :))))) my heart was soooo happy! lol and i know its hard to go through all that sprint mombo jumbo so heres the number to lg and just press 4 for other once the little voice operated lady comes on and then you will connected with a person;tell them and just mail it in and it’ll come back in uh 10 days buh hey! its better than permanetly having no phone at all!! they mail the exact same phone you had to you brand new free of charge no money no shipping and handling FREE. =]] 1800-793-8896 goodluck ppl!!!!!!!! you can call to check when they receive it, they keep u updated =] they got mines on the 9th and they sed i wont have it till the 23rd buh i will have it! yay! goodluck!

    Warranty covers malfunctions do to manufacturers defcts, not when you go around dropping you’r phone. You caused the damage to it, why would they replace it. Well DA. You sound redicilous. Buy you’r self a leather case, it will protect you’r phone from shock and damage. I bet you didn’t tell them you dropped it, you probably just told them the screen was white.

    Samantha what’s wrong with you’r phone? In some cases, if you remove the battery, wait a minute and replace, will re set you’r phone. Nothing will be erased but perhaps it will boot up normally. Sometimes, if there is a problem with the battery, it will also make you’r phone behave strange. Please describe what you’r phone is doing. Thanks

    I’ve had my phone since July 2007. My phone JUST recently half of the screen went black, one fourth is a messed up part of the screen saver, and the other fourth is a fuzzy Tv-like thing. It’s really weird, i cant read anything, i can only type in a phone number without seeing the number on the screen, so i can call people. How can this be fixed? I have no warranty, and cannot afford a new phone. Where can i get it repaired? Preferrably for free?

    I have 2 of these phones-1 for my 14 yr old and one for myself- so far (In the one year we’ve had them) my daughters had to be replaced once because the (crappy made) tab which you plug the charger onto broke- now the refurb phone they gave her has the same issue 4 months after… they need to better design these charger ports- let alone all the other issues..so now I have to swap batteries when mine is charged, so she can use it-then charge the dead one in mine-what a P.I.T.A. !!

    alright i got the lg rumor about 3 or 4 months ago and it has multiple of problems, 1st it was the phone would just turn off randomly, then it was the keyboard it just stopped working!!!! then it looses its memory. and the final problem is that it is loosing battery life. i mean i have done nothing to the phone i just dont know why its doing all these things. im going to my insurance company to get a free new 1 but i already know all this is gunna happen again!!! does any1 no why this is happening?? i think its the software

    I have two of these phones. One is green and just over a year old and one is about 8 months old. Both of these phones have issues. The green one shuts off ALL the time by itself. People complain to me all the time that they have been trying to call me and I do not get missed calls when I have service. The white phone has issues with charging and you have to make sure the charger is sitting jsut perfect for it to work. It in not the actual charger but the port where you charge because I have tried different chargers and still have the same issue. TODAY, the qwerty keyboard stopped working on the white phone. I have had it with these phones. The thing is…whether or not they replace them, I will still have to repay for all the ringtones that I have purchased because you can not transfer ringtones. ALL and ALL, I think that Sprint’s phones and service is crap. The only reason I stay is because I have a VERY good plan and no other phone company can beat it.

    I’ve had my rumor since about November 2007. It was very good, but until recently it’s started to act up. I would have it in my pocket and the screen would be locked and everything. Then, when I would reach down to get it, i would press the buttons and nothing came up….it turned off by itself, WHEN IT WAS FULLY CHARGED.
    Then, this has also just recently started to happen…I would go to plug the charger into the slot, and it would stay for a few seconds, but then, if i moved it and inch, it would fall out (When i first got the charger it was nice and tight…and would stay in.)
    Ok i gotta admit, i do have a “dropping my phone problem” and at first nothing would happen to it. But lately, if i drop it, it would shut off……COMPLETELY.
    Also, i have the “MY PHONE’S SCREEN TURNS COMPLETELY WHITE ISSUE TO.” Which it has done a couple times.
    So, about an hour ago, i dropped my phone in the toilet (tehe) i was completely freaking out, but i just set it out and let it dry. Hopefully it’s ok, i dont really know, but maybe this is a good excuse to get a new one! =]

    People with charge issues. Do you check to see when you plug in the charger that the arrow is pointing up side is going in to the phone, or do you just plug it in any which way? Do you force it in or gently wiggle it in. We all know the plug ins are a little tight. Honestly, if you keep droping the phone and droping it in the toilet are just plain stupid. Gee what’s wrong with my phone? I have an LG rumor had it for a very long time. It works wonderful. Never have any issues with it, but then I never drop it, or in the toilet. Maybe stick it in the microwave, or run it over a few times it will work better ha?

    well…my phone jus recently started ackin up 2…i got it last july and only used it for about a month. then i got a new phone…now in march i got this turned on….

    but it turns off randomly. and the keyboard track is messd up. the battery doesn’t last long and while im on the phone with someone, the screen looks like i jus turned the phone on! so i think the other person has hung up on meh and really hasnt!

    Are you serious. I got this phone less than a year ago and have had to have it shipped back only to have a new, still faulty version of the phone sent to me. SUCH a hassle! I have to deal with sprints customer service team on a regular bases about this. And now, the most recent green lg rumor 3g phone they sent me has started randomly turning itself off for no apparent reason. Also, if anyone calls, texts, or leaves a voicemail, the phone starts incesintly beeping at me about every 20 seconds until I clear my history (and no, this is not a setting that you can turn off, it is a fault in the phone). The first version I had would not play music even after I took it to the repair shop, so they sent me a new one that played music but had even more severe issues than the first. ABSOLUTELY do not get this phone, horrible experiences. Thanks god I have insurance on this phone (even still they have charged me $50 for every new phone hey have sent me; I am definitely changing service providers after this abhorrent experience.

    P.S. I just got off the phone with customer support where they told me the only thing they could do was send me another one of the same faulty phones. Wow, who sends you a faulty phone 3 times and then says the only thing they can do is send you a 4th. I will be sooo happy when my service is up.

    I have the LG Rumor phone since May of 2008. I’ve always had trouble charging my phone with the charger, I thought maybe I had bent a prong (without knowing)or something, but after reading these reviews I see that it must be a problem with the phone. I have to set my phone just right to get it to charge, which is a pain.

    Also, it has been shutting off all by itself for no reason. I can be talking on the phone and it will power off…

    I’m taking it in today to Sprint to see what they can do.

    i got the rumor in about august 2008; i went to radio shack instead of the sprint store because of the hugeeee lines. but when i went to radio shack they were having an aamzing deal! it was 50 dollars and then you get a 50 doolar rebate (so it was basically free.) My mom and i were extatic and went and bought it. a few months later we never receieved the rebate but instead a bill for 200 dollars. my mom spent about 12 hours on the phone all together talking to different sprint departments on the phone and then just payed for it. then my phone broke because it could not charger. i sent it and had to wait a little over a month to get a new one ( they did not give me a replacement phone i had to use my sisters old one and i WAS charger for all that service.) now my NEW sprint rumor turns off randomly and i get my texts like 3 hours later (regardless of service.) my blue tooth doesnt work and when i talk to someone it sometimes goes to the home screen instead of the calling menu. i hate sprint so much and i wish we could leave.

    I got the rumor july 2008. it was alright until sunday when the screen started to get all messed up, it would do all kinds of crazy things, then i would get the white screen. i called sprint and they told me that i had to add the insurance for $7 a month to get a new phone shipped to me so i did. then i realized it’s under a year, the warranty should still be good so i removed it after they shipped the phone, the customer service lady did not understand what i was saying at all. if it weren’t for sprints international plan i would have bought out a long time ago. i swear their phones are built to last 1 year max. i’ve had this plan for three years and i’m going onto my 4th phone

    the rumor really suck thees always problems with it. When i charge my phone the battery dies quickly
