Reports are beginning to surface that cases for the 2013 Nexus 7 are starting to arrive in Verizon packaging ahead of the tablet’s expected launch next week after months of the tablet being subjected to the carrier’s hardware certification process, a process that began at the initial announcement of the tablet last Summer and came to a head in September, when Verizon rejected activation of the tablets on dedicated LTE data plans.
With the launch coming soon and the accessories presumably being stocked, now all that’s left is waiting for the official launch announcement to put an end to the saga of Verizon refusing to activate hardware-compatible tablets based on arbitrary exceptions.
