Cmon sprint. Where is touch pro 2? The pre alone isn’t going to save you. Introduce better phones soon.

While the post is greatly appreciated and many of this information is new, I’m having conflict with the Tour release date (listed as August 2nd). On the Sprint website, one of the rotating banners claims “Fast Just Got Faster. The new Blackberry Tour 9630 smartphone now with greater speed and performance. Available July 12, 2009.”

Yes, where is the Touch Pro 2? I left my SERO plan and became a damn Apple fanboi on AT&T A) Because HTC phones keep getting more flimsy with every release and B) Sprint NEVER gets any cool phones. But I really thought they were going to prove me wrong this time. Maybe I read way too many blogs (maybe?!) and my timelines are way too hyper sensative but every month I get happier and happier with my decision.

RIGHT, where is the touch pro 2 – are they waiting for a new WM release or is Sprint having difficulties with the unit? Or do we all just have to become iphone users?

    @ Frank

I was wondering if you could please share, if you have the 3GS?
If so, how do you like the iPhone, and of course given you being a former Sprint customer, your take on AT&T reception, customer service and plan costs, much appreciated.

    Regarding new devices,
I am guessing that the Samsung Android, Touch Pro2 and maybe an HTC Hero type Android, will see the light towards the end of 3Q,, that would be closer to the October 2008 release of the Original Touch Pro Anniversary, pre holiday season push.

    Thank You

I won’t be leaving sprint because I have an awesome plan with them but I also won’t be renewing my contract. They need to release the touch pro 2 already since other people won’t be like me and have patience and will just leave to a company that carries state of the art phones.

Nobody in the U.S. has the TP2, stop crying and wait or leave

The release date for the Tour is July 12th for direct shipment. You can order it in the store, through telesales, and maybe online too. But you wont find one sitting in a store till later. As far as the Red BB 8350i and the Inferno Curve, I work for a retailer, and haven’t seen anything about those new colors. And thank you Don Louie for saying it first. Quitcherbitchin about the Touch Pro 2!

  11. Joe

Awesome, so August is the earliest we can actually hold a Tour in our hands…thanks for the clarification.

I can understand peoples frustration about the touch pro 2. However, Don Louie makes a valid point, nobody else is offering it either. But seriously though, does anyone have any idea “when” it will launch with sprint ?? I realize thats the million dollar question but, considering how a couple of months ago there was a TP2(with the sprint logo on it) that leaked out to the public, I was under the impression it was going to be released soon.

Earlier this year, the Sprint HTC touch pro 2 was said to be release the first of July. But now (Expected-Release; Date: August, 2009)
I may have found the reason for the Delay (We can only Hope:) admittedly no mention of a Sprint CDMA)
