MetroPCS and Cricket have launched the Motorola VE240 musicphone.
The phone features dedicated media player controls, a microSDHC expansion slot, Bluetooth with stereo audio support, speakerphone, and CDMA 1700 support for new markets and faster data access.
The phone is now available from MetroPCS for $99.99 online, while Cricket is offering it at $49.99 in an online special.
I got a chance to use this phone early, and I have to say… it’s what the original SLVR L7c should have been.
But what I don’t get, is why Motorola won’t refer to it as a SLVR. Even the VE20 on Sprint was referred to as a RAZR (despite technically being a RAZR2 internally).
Marketing is moving away form the four letter family and issuing generic product codes for some reason, but the internal name links it to the SLVR family.
Time for me to ZIP code hack and buy one to reflash on Metro.
the phone went completely dead and now it wont charge, what do i do
