It’s worth noting that while the XOOM 1 got jelly bean, XOOM 2 and Xyboard are stuck forever at Android 4.0 without ROM hacking.
The reason being that XOOM 1 was a Google AOSP device, so Google pushed out a Jelly Bean branch for XOOM 1, whereas XOOM 2 and Xyboard were internal to Motorola.
That, and the fact that the Xyboard and XOOM 2 were market failures.
Honestly, most will fare better with a Galaxy Tab 2 Wi-Fi and a Verizon hotspot. You’ll get Jelly Bean and still have 4G LTE.
P.S. To be clear, Motorola’s official line is that Xyboard/XOOM2 is still under evaluation for Jelly Bean. I suspect though it has been passed over, but Motorola won’t comment either way.
