Motorola has announced four CDMA multimedia phones: the MOTORAZR maxx
Ve, MOTOROKR Z6m, W385, and W355. All four of these phones
are multimedia devices destined for CDMA carriers, and offer different
functionality for different needs, from multimedia convergence devices
to basic no frills voice functionality to suit every potential

The MOTORAZR maxx Ve is Motorola’s flagship CDMA feature phone for
Verizon. Featuring a QVGA display, 2.0 megapixel camera with 4x digital
zoom, video recording, flash, GPS support, 60MB of internal memory with
microSD expansion slot that supports 2GB cards, touch sensitive music
player controls on the front flip, full VCAST support, and Bluetooth
with stereo Bluetooth audio support (A2DP). The phone is expected to
launch during the first quarter of this year.
The MOTOROKR Z6m is a feature packed slider form factor phone that is
meant for the music fan. It features a 2.0 QVGA display, 2.0 megapixel
camera with video recording, landscape mode, Bluetooth print
capability, microSD slot with support for 2GB cards, USB 2.0, Bluetooth
2.0 with A2DP/AVRCP support (stereo audio/audio streaming), media
player with support for MP3, AAC, AAC+, WMA, and other formats, and
support for the Mobile Phone Tools software suite to manage information
to and from the phone. BREW 3.14 is listed in the featureset leading to
speculation that either Verizon or Alltel might pick it up. The phone
is expected to launch in the third quarter of this year.
