Leap Wireless has announced in a press release today that it will launch its Cricket brand of flat-rate wireless service in the city of Philadelphia and surrounding suburbs of the metropolitan area from Philadelphia and the surrounding suburbs, across South Jersey to Atlantic City and down to Wilmington in Northern Delaware.
In related news, the carrier has launched the entry-level Samsung R211 bar phone which features a speakerphone, web access, messaging, and game and ringtone downloads along with triband CDMA access for full functionality across Legacy CDMA and new CDMA AWS markets.
The phone is now available for $89 retail or $69 online after $20 instant online discount.
