Following their launch in September for the back-to-school season, Boost Mobile has extended the availability of the promotional Data Boost plans from its planned initial end next month to January 5th after the strong initial consumer response to the plans. As previously reported, the three Data Boost plans feature a $5 discount with sizable data allotments.
The $40 plan becomes the $35 plan with 1GB of data per month, the $50 plan features a sizable increase from 2.5GB to 5GB of data with a discount to $45, and the $60 plan jumps even further from 5GB to 10GB of data per month with a discount to $55. As an additional incentive, current customers are able to switch to the new plans and both new and current customers that switch will be able to keep the plans on their account as long as the accounts remain active, with automatic grandfathering after the now extended availability period.
