Alltel has launched their second FasTap equipped clamshell from LG in the Swift and the sequel to the Samsung Hue in the Hue II.
Like the AX490, the Swift features a set of keys between the main keys, but instead of integrating a QWERTY keyboard as on the AX490, the Swift uses the FasTap layout as hotkeys for different functions such as email, navigation, music, games and additional functions without having to navigate cumbersome icons or menu screens. Â
The complete featureset consists of a 1.3 megapixel camera with video recorder, media player, microSDHC expansion slot, speakerphone, Celltop support, threaded SMS, GPS support through Alltel Navigation, CityID, and Alltel Search.
The Hue II from Samsung features a redesigned bodyshell, 2 megapixel camera with video recorder, Blutooth with stereo audio support, speakerphone, interchangeable faceplates, media player with Alltel Music Connect support, microSDHC expansion slot, Alltel Search, Celltop support, CityID, Mobile Jukebox, Alltel TV, and Mobile Advisor.
The Swift is now available online for $99.99 after new 2 year agreement and $130 instant discount before an additional $50 mail-in rebate, bringing the total to $49.99 while the Hue II is now available for $89.99 after a new 2 year agreement and $150 instant discount before an additional $50 mail-in rebate, bringing the total to $39.99.
