The first solid details have surfaced regarding the second Motorola Android device formerly known as the Sholes and now known as the Tao for Verizon.
The device will be officially announced the week after the CTIA Wireless Expo next week and features an ARM Cortex CPU at 500 MHz, a 3.7 inch 854×480 WVGA capacitive touchscreen display, 5.0 megapixel camera with autofocus and flash, facial recognition capability with Google image seach functionality tied in, a custom Motorola interface that isn’t MOTOBLUR or the maligned Verizon user interface and will also be available in black and titanium.
Motorola is also planning a variant without the QWERTY keyboard slated for release next year.
