Sprint has announced that it will be the first US carrier to officially launch LG’s G4 flagship Android smartphone, with the launch slated for June 5th. Sprint will offer the plastic gray back plate or the black leather back plate versions of the phone.
The phone will be sold with multiple purchase options, beginning with Sprint Lease, the G4 will be available for $0 down followed by $18 per month for 24 months. At the end of the lease, customers can exchange the G4 for another handset, or purchase the phone outright.
Customers that want to take advantage of Sprint Easy Pay to finance the device over 24 months will pay $25 per month for 24 months with no down payment needed and the cost on a 2-year contract is set at $199.99. Finally, for those that are already out of contract or don’t want to enter into one, the phone can be purchased outright for $599.99.
The phone features a 5.5-inch quad HD IPS Quantum display, and the phone is powered by a heavily-customized Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor, improved camera module with a 16-megapixel sensor, f/1.8 lens aperture and improved “laser-assisted” autofocus along with improved optical image stabilization that can also shoot RAW images and capture 4K video. The 3,000mAh battery powering the phone is removable, as well as including support for up to 2TB microSDXC memory cards along with its 32GB of internal storage.
